Chemotherapy in elderly patients with advanced gastric cancer

Abstract:New oral fluoropyrimidines, such as capecitabine and S-1, have been widely used for elderly patients with a certain efficiency and slight toxicity. Fluorouracil and platinum program probably enhances the effectiveness, but also increases the incidence of adverse reactions. There are a few clinical reports abouttriple-drug combinationfor elderly patients, but the efficacy is not certain and the toxicity is obvious.
