Recently, chemotherapy combined with targeted therapy is the major therapeutic strategy for metastatic CRC and the high frequency activation of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) signaling pathway has been validated sharing a close relationship with the development of CRC, contributing important values for the diagnosis and therapy of CRC.
