Cannabidiol is one of the most abundant phytocannabinoids in hemp, which has no psychoactive properties and a variety of pharmacological actionsin vivo. Several recent studies indicate that cannabidiol possesses antitumor activity, the diversity of its acting receptor distribution and activation mechanism makes it possible to inhibit tumorigenesis in multiple waysviaaffecting tumor cell proliferation, inducing apoptosis, inhibiting cell invasion and metastasis, anti-angiogenesis and regulating immune response. Further understanding of the mechanism of cannabidiol in tumors may provide new ideas for the development of new antitumor agents.
