Research shows that Th22 cells participate in the immunologic processes of autoimmune diseases and infectious diseases. Recent studies confirm that Th22 cells and related cytokines distribute and express in a verity of tumor tissues, but the conclusions of their repressive or stimulative functions in tumorigenesis are different. The studies on Th22 cell expression in tumors and its underlying mechanism can provide a theoretical basis for specific targeted tumor therapy.
