Ang-(1-7), angiotensinconverting enzyme 2 (ACE2) and MAS receptor constitute ACE2Ang-(1-7)Mas axis, which antagonizes the ACEAngⅡAngⅡ type 1 receptor axis. Recent studies indicate that Ang-(1-7) has certain effects on treating tumors, including inhibition of angiogenesis, anticell proliferation and inhibition of tumor fibrosis. Researches on the roles and mechanisms of Ang-(1-7) can provide new target for treatment and prevention of cancer.
