At present the main methods for cervical cancer screening are pap smear method, acetic acid shading to naked eye observation, iodine staining to the naked eye observation, liquid based cytology and human papillomavirus DNA testing methods. Screening techniques and strategies are different in different areas and countries because of unbalanced economic development.
