Abstract:Cytokineinduced killer (CIK) cells play important roles in the treatment of solid tumors. In particular, they have broad application prospects for the patients with recurrence or metastasis. Although recently CIK treatment strategy has achieved encouraging results in preclinical studies, there are still some difficulties in the clinical applications. Some key issues remain to be resolved, such as how to ensure that the antitumor immune effector can be a lot of amplified and can stay longer in the body, how to selectively kill tumor cells, and how to ensure the security of application.
