Abstract:The abnormal activation of phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)-protein kinase B (Akt) pathway has already been confirmed that it is closely related to the origin and development of various tumors. PI3K-Akt pathway plays an important role in development of colon cancer, it can regulate cell survival, proliferation, anti-apoptosis, cell cycle progression, etc. Furthermore, inhibition of this pathway may play a potential roll in oncotherapy.
