摘要:SOX17作为SOX转录因子超家族的一员,在进化过程中高度保守,对胚胎内胚层的形成具有重要作用。研究发现,SOX17基因启动子高甲基化可导致其表达沉默或减少,从而异常激活经典Wnt信号通路,在肿瘤的形成和进展中具有至关重要的作用。

Abstract:SOX17, a member of the SOX family of transcription factors, is conserved in many species and plays an important role in the formation of embryo endoderm. A number of studies have found that SOX17 gene expression is silenced or decreased might be due to promoter hypermethylation, which plays a vital role in tumorigenesis and tumor progression, and may contribute to aberrant activation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway in several human malignant tumors.
