Abstract:Concurrent chemoradiation therapy is currently a recommended treatment approach for locally advanced inoperable stage IIIA and stage IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). There is no consensus on the optimal treatment regimen. It is one of these options for theconsolidation chemotherapy following concurrent chemoradiation therapy. To date, there is no sufficient evidence indicating that consolidation chemotherapy following concurrent chemoradiation therapy further improves survival rates. The benefit remains to beconfirmedby more clinical test.
