Helicobacter pylori andcolorectal cancer

Abstract:Recent researches of theassociationbetween helicobacter pylori (Hp)and colorectal adenocarcinoma have found that Hp infection rate is higher in the patients withcolorectal cancerand other related colorectal adenoma, which suggest that Hpprobably influence on local and distant intestinal mucosa epithelial cells achieve carcinogenesis by its own virulence and the role of elevated serum gastrin levels. Hp infection may be a potential risk factor of colorectal cancer.
