Abstract:

ObjectiveTo evaluate efficacy and safety of hydrogen intervention in the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD).MethodsA total of 60 patients who were diagnosed as AD from January 2020 to December 2020 were selected for clinical observation. The patients were randomly divided into two groups: external drugs group (topical 0.03% tacrolimus ointment twice a day combined with momethasone furoate cream once a night) and hydrogen chamber combined with external drugs group (hydrogen chamber combined with the same external drugs in external drugs group). The treatment cycle was 4 weeks, SCORAD, CDLQI and IgE were evaluated before and after treatment, and the liver and kidney function were detected for the safety of H2treatment.ResultsAfter treatment, SCORAD scores [(18.86 ± 8.16)vs(37.42 ± 10.40)], CDLQI scores [(6.76 ± 3.26)vs(15.14 ± 3.77)] and the total serum IgE [(268.00 ± 93.98)vs(443.63 ± 144.43)IU/mL] of the hydrogen chamber combined with external drugs group improved obviously compared to those before treatment, and there were statistically significant differences in the above observation indexes in each group before and after treatment (P< 0.05). After treatment, the overall response rate (51.70%vs25.00%), CDLQI scores [(6.76 ± 3.26)vs(12.64 ± 3.61)] and the total serum IgE [(268.00 ± 93.98)vs(318.17 ± 89.84)IU/mL] of the hydrogen chamber combined with external drugs group improved obviously compared to external drugs group, and the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P< 0.05). There was no significant difference in the recurrence rate between the two groups (P> 0.05). No abnormal liver and kidney function test results were found in both groups before and after treatment, the safety was good and there was no difference in recurrence rate.ConclusionPatients with atopic dermatitis treated with hydrogen combined with topical drugs show significantly better overall response rate, quality of life and improvement of serum total IgE level than those treated with topical drugs alone, and the method also has good efficacy and high safety, which plays a good role in adjuvant therapy.
